Rough Guide to the 4 peaks challenge

There are plenty of resources for the 3 peaks challenge (Ben Nevis, Scafel Pike and Snowdon in 24 hours) but after doing that for charity a few years ago myself and some friends fancied a greater challenge so we looked at doing the extra peak in Ireland (Slieve Donard) in an extra few hours. There weren't many resources for this so here is a little rough guide if you're considering it based around what we did.

Do bear in mind that the challenge shouldn't be taken lightly, it's tough physically and mentally and in our case only 2 of us were driving which meant only 3 hours sleep in over 40 hours - i would reccommend a designated driver is found who isn't doing the whole walk.

the route

> Start:
slieve donard car park, N.Ireland

> Drive to belfast, ferry from belfast to stranraer

> Drive stranraer to ben nevis

> drive ben nevis to scafel pike

> drive scafel pike to snowdon

> pub!
